Campaigns & Sequences

Building a sequence

Campaigns are built in a drag-and-drop flow editor, not a linear form. Available step types: Email, LinkedIn Connect, LinkedIn Message, Wait, Branch, Tag, End. Click any node to open its config panel and edit the message, subject line, wait duration, or branch condition.

Branch conditions currently only check a contact’s enrollment state (replied, connected, bounced, etc.) - there’s no arbitrary custom-field branching yet, and no InMail, Follow, or Event-invite step types. If your workflow needs those, tell support - it helps prioritize what gets built next.

Don’t want to build from scratch? The Playbook Library has 8 pre-built sequences (cold email drip, LinkedIn connect, multichannel, re-engagement, and others) you can launch with one click and then customize.

Personalization

Use {{variable}} syntax in any message: firstName, lastName, companyName, and any custom field you’ve created, plus a few Konvox-specific ones like firstNameVoc (the grammatically correct Czech/Slovak vocative form of a first name, if you’re messaging into those markets).

Konvox will not send a message that still contains an unfilled [bracket placeholder] - like [specific pain point] left over from a playbook template. This is deliberate: it stops a prospect from ever receiving a literal [specific pain point] in their inbox. If a campaign looks stuck and every enrollment shows a “message contains an unfilled placeholder” hold reason, the fix is to open the step in the flow editor and finish writing the actual copy - it’s not a bug, it’s the send gate doing its job. See FAQ for the full troubleshooting flow.

Why a campaign might not be sending

Two independent things have to be true for a message to actually go out, and Konvox now shows you exactly which one is blocking a given contact (look at the enrollment’s hold reason on the Targets tab):

  1. The contact’s email is verified (only applies to Konvox’s own shared sending domain - see Sending & Deliverability).
  2. No unfilled placeholders remain in the message (see above).

If neither is the issue and a campaign still looks stalled, check the campaign’s own state - it needs to be Running, not Draft or Paused.

Timing and limits

  • Send window - restrict sends to specific hours/days in your account’s timezone, so prospects don’t get a message at 3am their time.
  • Daily sending limits with warmup - new sender identities ramp up gradually (roughly (warmup day + 1) × 5 emails on day one, climbing to your plan’s daily cap) rather than sending at full volume immediately. This protects your sender reputation; you can’t disable it.

Organizing campaigns

If you run campaigns for multiple brands or clients from one account, group them under a Project (Settings, or inline when creating a campaign) - each campaign shows a short project code badge (e.g. LUME) so they’re easy to tell apart in the list. Duplicate campaign names are also auto-suffixed (“Cold email drip” → “Cold email drip (2)”) so you never lose track of which is which.

A/B testing

A Branch node can split traffic between two message variants; the Campaigns detail page shows a real comparison of results between them so you can promote the winner.
